The
beaches of Poniente and Levante - both broad and gently shelving
- are clean and safe for swimming. The bays are south facing
and sheltered by the backdrop of the mountains.
This year, 2011, Benidorm's Poniente and Levante beaches gained
the right to fly the BLUE FLAG, the symbol that demonstrates
the distinctive quality of the beaches.

Benidorm
lies 50 kilometers north of Alicante on the eastern coast of
Spain.
The resort has two great beaches, friendly service and plenty
of entertainment. This along with the glorious weather and varied
watersports makes Benidorm an ideal resort for those seeking
a relaxing or lively holiday. Like any Spanish town, Benidorm
has it's fair share of parties, and in the second week in November
is the week long Benidorm Fiesta with lots of things going on
through the day time and party atmosphere at night. On the last
night of the fiesta there is a large firework display on the
Levante beach, which is very spectacular. |

| If
it's possible to tire of the fabulous beaches in Benidorm, then
you could stroll around the narrow streets of the Old Town.
Benidorm's flat landscape makes it very easy to get about on
foot, though local taxis and buses are readily available and
very reasonable priced. Alternatively, you can hire a car and
visit the picturesque villages in the mountains. |
